    That sounds like it would be perfect for multi-core support if it got it working. It is similar to the Civ turn problem but likely even worse.

    I'm not saying that it would be easy but it would help.

    well, it is an odd beast because the game is a 20 year labor of love thing that also has enormous community support (in the form of DF hack and other such shit). Each individual tooth in every socket of every mouth of every creature is modeled pretty well. The complexity of this game is geometrically beyond anything really comparable to any other game I can think of..... um

    Yeah, it's waaaay worse than civ. I personally don't run into issues unless I have a really lucky run. Honestly, at that point, I've triggered forgotten beasts or got sieged by several hundred goblins anyway.

    I just find creative ways to deal with the lag issue heh.
