    I personally haven't had an AV program for over 10 years because they feel sorta...not worth it to me. Defender is free and updated often and seems to be fine. Also you can download several other free programs like malwarebytes if you ever run into an actual issue. Unless you are hanging around on the shady side of the net and downloading a lot of programs I think defender is fine.

    Of course, this is all information from my point of view so use your own judgment obviously.

    Pros:
    The fact that I dived in like a moron so that you don't have to.
    Cons:
    Underpaid - never ends, no progress bar. Poor survey design makes everything take far longer than it should. Low brain energy required, but highly redundant. Don't think that you could shave all that much off my time - maybe a couple minutes, tops?
