    Does anyone know why some HITs seem to get stuck at the top of HF? That is to say they don't move down to the logged section they just stay in the new section, even though I've blocked them.

    If I remember correctly, the ones that stay at the top are hits that are still actually available. As for hits showing up after being added to your blacklist, you need to find the setting that hides blocked hits.

    They approve within a few hours. Depends on the time of day. If it's early morning, usually approves later in the afternoon. If you do them in the afternoon, within an hour or so.
