Employee update: (@Tracy Wethington) Mom let her go this morning citing that we warned her she had to be more reliable about coming to work. She admitted that it was her fault and she understood.

However.

She arrived 30 minutes later than her scheduled start time. The employee in that position arrives about 45 mins to an hour before Mom or I arrive so they have time to open the office, go through email, process calls, work requests, etc (they arrive before our office officially opens to the public or we start answering phones). Mom and I often do field work before we make it into the office, which is why we have a third EE to be here earlier than us.

Our office has two cameras, indoor one and outdoor one, that we all know about as the monitor is in the same space as that employee's desk and we can all see what's being recorded. It's fully disclosed they are being recorded at all times when in that work area (our break area is not recorded).

I decided to check some recordings from last week. Apparently, she regularly arrives 30-45 mins late and reports arriving on time on the time card. This really bums me out as I would have never expected that from her and it never crossed my mind to check the camera. I will, however, spot check it from now on with the next employee and they'll be told the camera records when they arrive.

 

Just do what Hummingbird did in one of her pictures. Hump a flamingo and you will be on your way.

 

@turker is reliable and shows up on time. You should hire her.
