My snow story- had just moved to NC in 2000 and shortly after we had the Carolina Crusher snow storm. Had to climb out a window cause the snow was so high that my front door was blocked. I used my kitty litter scoop to clear the snow from my porch, steps, walkway, made a path through the yard to where I parked and then did all around my car. Took me most of a day. At one point the landlord drove by on a tractor and threw me a big, heavy shovel. I tried to use it, but I was like, damn, this is gonna kill me- so I went back to the kitty litter scoop as it was fast and light weight.

Busted my butt that day, but for the rest of the winter, I was the only one on the block with a clear parking area, walkway and porch, cause the sun would melt whatever snow there was each day. I stood on my porch and inwardly chuckled watching the neighbors slip and slide all winter.

 

Literally my favorite place. So, so many family members live there - my favorite things are cheese and beer....

.....buuuuuuut we are in Maine. Hubby is from da U.P. and I am from metro Detroit. Rest of my fam is from Wisconsin/Michigan.

(And his side which is from Nebraska and Missouri - followed that forum yesterday for a bit but didn't have anything to add except - we have to go to a wedding in MO in the fall and already dreading it a bit. His peeps are in the Ozarks so it won't be all that bad - but do I have to see Yakov Smirnov in Branson?!?!?!)

 

Well crap - I feel like I just talked to my Dad in Michigan or my Uncle in Conover..... they literally just told me the snow report that we could expect in about 24 hours...

I'm assuming you are snowmobiling everywhere?

My aunt always calls me from her snow mobile at Dublin or Wild Turkey in Eagle River.

Why do the Requesters who underpay never have a comments section. I was ready to leave a searing comment on Ben Kantack's .25 HIT on the Presidential Election. Hey Ben, a huge democratic speaking point is fair wages. $3.00 is not it.
