Hard to listen to any Slayer if you aren't into their thematic style. I grew up on that stuff though. Reigning Blood, South of Heaven, and Seasons in the Abyss were a big part of early years.

First "big" concert was the Clash of the Titans tour - Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth, with Alice in Chains opening, well before I figured out how great they were. I'm not even a big metal head, but I knew this would be a heck of a show. And it was.

I was just a bit too young to catch that tour. Caught the one they did a few years ago with just Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth. Each band played one of their albums from start to finish. It was pretty dope seeing Megadeth play Rest in Peace in it's entirety.

The last four or five Overkill albums may be better than anything they did in the 80s and stands up to some of the original Big Four releases. It makes no sense.
