My uncle played in a band for 25 years, so technically going to those shows would have been my first experience with live music. My first "real" concert didn't come until I was 17 in March 2002. It was 30 Seconds to Mars, TrustCompany, and Puddle of Mudd.

I was only there for TrustCo because I had become internet friends with them when they were called 41down, and had some awesome music. 30 Seconds to Mars sounded extremely inexperienced and their set was loose as hell. I didn't stick around for puddle of shitt, but I imagine they sucked lol.

 

Why you so mean? They tried hard and deserve a participation Grammy just like everyone else.

 

There are hella fewer skinheads lately. I was worried about that changing but I've only ever seen them at Cock Sparrer and they're not racist skinheads.

I say weird kid only cause I was like 8 and by far the youngest at the concert. It was the late 90s. I demanded we go and I was clutching my cassette, near tears because my mom had left me behind for a Foreigner concert the year before and I was bereft she might go without me again. I was very serious about the whole thing.

 

I'm looking back, and apparently that was their first tour ever.

Maybe they're better now? I have liked a few of their songs over the years.
