    Uh...sometimes we get a minor warning if we know a ton of rain is happening up stream but it's usually just a surprise. See, "flood stage" is 18ft. We can go up to around 23ft before it's a major issue for us but at that point half the town is trapped.

    And yeah we wait it out. We always keep backup food/water because we have hurricanes and if I notice flooding we move all our vehicles to the end of the road. The local PD keeps an officer there to watch over peoples cars during the flooding.

    Not sure..I doubt it and the current would be too strong they would probably get penned against our fence and drown.
    IF it ever got that bad I would move them all to our front porch since it's raised. I can't risk my babies
