You're always free to suggest they go closed qual with just you, or just their top workers. But I'd be explicit in that -- "more directly" can absolutely be interpreted to mean "let's skip this joint and break the ToS together", and there's always a chance they'd report you.

Disclosure: This is truly just an academic discussion, I'm simply curious.

The wording feels a bit strange to me. Would that mean that technically, a requester posting the same survey on both mturk and the-site-that-must-not-be-named (or using any other platform for that matter) is technically breaking the ToS?

Same with workers, if they work for the same person on more than one platform, are they technically breaking the ToS?

So the Brock Scram Lab hit isn't really a paid screener? I went through all the questions to be told I didn't qualify for the current study and received no code but it's 5 cents?

For this study, we are looking to recruit a specific group of individuals. To find out if you are eligible, you will be asked to complete a short survey (~3 minutes).

This survey involves answering questions about yourself. This survey should take less than 3 minutes, and you will receive $0.05 for completing this short questionnaire.

 

You're working as an independent contractor for AMT. So, you're not really bound by the participation agreement in every single aspect of your life, only in the capacity by which you're working as a "Worker" (for the purposes of the PA).

I'm probably explaining this poorly. But tl;dr:

Okay: You happen to see req's study on Asslific, and you complete it. Cool.

Not okay: Req messages you through AMT, says there's a new study on Asslific and you should check it out. Not cool.
