I will say it's pretty nice I can sign my new rental lease on the computer so something that would normally take hours takes me 5 minutes.

I think that's because during the "negotiations" between FDR, Churchill, and Stalin during WWI, there was a fear on FDR's and Churchill's part that Russia might come to a separate peace with Germany (or simply just stop fighting). Stalin made certain territorial demands that FDR and Churchill acquiesced to in order to maintain Russia as a member of the "United Nations" (as FDR referred to the allies), and this was probably one of the results.
