    Gross tea might need sugar.

    Unless it's that sweet tea that people drink in the South. I won't touch that tooth rotting stuff but I was raised better than to debate Southerners over their love of sugar in Sweet Tea.

    I am a southerner and agree entirely. People think I'm crazy when I order unsweetened tea, and always bring out a huge pile of splenda packets with it because they can't imagine I prefer it to not taste like candy.

    Yeah, here in Louisiana when they say sweet tea they mean it....I think they put like a 5lb bag in each batch.

    Then I wonder why I'm fat...maybe it's because I just drank 26000 calories in tea. I'm glad I gave up sodas/tea honestly.

    I say as I pour more surgery sweet creamer into my coffee like a child.

    My southern grandparents didn't drink tea, but they always had super duper sugary drinks in their house. Grandma used to make a punch we would call "liquid crack" because when we drank it, it never satisfied our thirst and we'd just keep drinking it like addicts. It was fruit punch syrup mixed with Sprite. OMG so good. OMG will give you diabetes after 2 cups.

    They would make Sweet Tea for any guests who wanted it, though. I learned to just nod and smile at them drinking that gross stuff while I gulped my liquid red sugar.
