My problem is that I like getting laid more than I like being alone, so I made the mistake of starting a new relationship before March. Luckily my birthday is later this month, so I'll get some bonuses.

Matt once ditched me on Valentine’s Day. I hate it but obvs would like to not be home alone by myself the whole time.

It was the first time I walked Bearnie on a leash.

I think part of me snapped that day and I’ll never be the same again.

The best Valentine’s Day gift I’ve ever gotten was a bouquet of roses that were raising money for the humane society and a bottle of zippo fluid.

I hate roses and Valentine’s Day. I lit them on fire and swilled champagne while cackling evilly. And I felt good about it because those stupid flowers helped support cute animals.

I’m guessing that might not be as effective for your gf though.

My birthday and our anniversary are 5 days apart. Matt is almost always gone on my birthday because Airventure is that week.

I never get separate gifts. He does.

Note to self: next time do not start a relationship the same week as your birthday

 

I at least think I'm old enough that women just expect dinner and show or something like that instead of an actual gift outside of some flowers. There's some 15 course BS at this place in the mountains with a band and wine tasting that I'll probably hit up unless there is a concert worth seeing.

Erica is a fucking nightmare to buy gifts for, but I already gave her hers and thank god she likes it (a lomi lomi massage at a place nearby). I specifically picked a new type of massage I know she would never pick for herself (it's a bit....invasive). She was initially nervous but is now excited to try it.
