Im not sure how to tell if your message got through but as far as i have seen they make it to the requester. Some answer messages, i have found many do not. There may be no one around due to the weekend.
Most of the time i see the no m ore hits message is when im doing Endor hits and either i loaded to many or i sent one back. When you do that it kinda ruins your chances to work on them for a bit.
