@geniuscrackhead: Web browsing (with a quickness to snatch those HITs) and gaming don't require high speeds -- they require low latency. Additionally, gaming benefits greatly from low jitter (packet delay variation). I suppose mTurk could benefit from such if the "Accept" button decided to load last (as it often does wait for the page to load fully).

Download speeds come into effect when you need to, well, download resources that can saturate lower limits. HD video requires a good amount of bandwidth to ensure you don't experience a lot of buffering. I took a higher plan because it was free for 12 months and it helps XBL/PSN/Steam grab downloads faster.
