I wish you well. I hope that they're not stringing you along... I had one requester state that he was going to reverse a rejection and pay me, but he didn't know how to do so. He said that he was working with his internal support team on the issue. So I said okay, waited 2-3 days, no further response, hit still rejected. So I sent him the link on how to reverse rejections, and then I never heard from him again! lol Oh well, live and learn. So I did the negative review and block thingie and moved on...

you guys if we made $10,000 or less on mturk in 2021. then we owe $0 in taxes for last year. wrong or right? because of the expanded eitc. also do we still get the c corp pass through.

seems like that's right, like in theory it's refundable but most of us will get free taxes for last year?

 

I don't know about all that @turker, but if you use Turbo Tax you can now get your refund in crypto-currency!

 

You still have to file taxes. The standard deduction is 12,550 so if you earn less than that total, you won't owe any federal income taxes (but like if you earn 10k on mturk and 3k at another job, you owe income taxes on the extra 450) but I think you pay social security and medicaid taxes still, and you might owe state income tax depending on state rules (no income tax in TN... though I would prefer we did because it would cost me much less than 10% sales tax on literally everything I buy), and you should be able to just get the EITC when you file your taxes. If you make like less than 22k or something total, you'll get EITC. I did all this on turbo tax and it wasn't an issue. I just added schedule C and wrote in the numbers from my dashboard

I'm single no kids have never gotten a tax refund before but hoping.

 

is there a link to a tax calculator that is already set up with all that new tax stuff from the new law that passed recently? I'm even more confused than usual this year. I want a dry run to find out if personal deduction plus eitc = tax refund or not for me.

 

Yeah, you can only get EITC if you file taxes I believe. I got 10% of my income back as EITC so I don't know about 1500 for 10k? Unless that was just my extra and I got the regular amount with it too. I don't really know that much about all of this other than what I basically have to do and I just kind of trust that turbo tax does the right amounts. I hope that's not naive of me
