Just saw this part really (not sure how I missed it on first reading)

But, you did see the part where I said I wasn't there? I was in the office when this happened and was told about it? and the "we" was "our people" who were there?

So I yes, I rescue pets whenever I can, like Spencer. And I'm proud of it, and when there is another vacancy in my home I'll do it again. And that's not a contradiction with what happened today to the people in/with my company who had to make a tough call to regain possession of a house due to lack of immediate resources (even the sheriff's officers who do lockouts daily don't know who to call).
