More than 2,000 people have been killed and thousands injured by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake which struck south-eastern Turkey, near the Syrian border, in the early hours of Monday morning.

The earthquake, which hit near the town of Gaziantep, was closely followed by numerous aftershocks - including one which was almost as large as the earthquake itself.

Turkey is prepared for earthquakes in terms of first aid, search and rescue BUT this one hit more than 10 cities at the same time. So, terrible situation. more terrible news is waiting for us.

Winter, cold, snow is also terrible for those who are afraid to go back their apartments and have to stay outside.
