The average /r/mturk worker is in a whole different world from the average turkerhub/view user. It is kind of amazing and sometimes it seems like we aren't even using the same website.

On the other hand facebook makes /r/mturk workers look like they are pros and ethical workers.

I get it in the regular markets either in the dried fruit section or where they have the containers of nuts and stuff. It doesn't taste good even though it works.

We're just all elite snobs obviously. How dare we want to make as much money as possible.

Ahh, I remember the "before times" when making $5 was amazing. Sorry but I need my minimum of $50 a day now. I have needs (most of which involve me spending money).

Oh I've always loved ginger so the taste of it's like drinking a ginger chew to me. IT REALLY works and clears your throat and sinuses out in a great way. I stand by these and 100% actually keep these in stock more then I do coffee for those days that your throat (for some reasons) isn't too happy.

Congrats!!! OMG, your first! That is so special and awesome. The next babies are awesome, too, but the first is, well...more special (shhhh, don't tell my son that...)

I had hyperemesis all nine months with both of my kids. That means I threw up 10-12 times per day the entire pregnancy. So that is probably worse than what your wife has, but I can share what helped me.

Never, ever, ever let the stomach get empty of food. That makes the nausea about 100 times worse. Nibble a cracker. Eat some goldfish. Carry cheerios around in a baggie. Rice cakes, whatever. Something stays in the stomach at all times, even if it comes back up.

WATER MAKES NAUSEA WORSE! I don't know why, but drinking too much water was a bad choice. Find alternatives, maybe herbal tea?

Obviously clear this with a doctor, but mine said this was fine. I got bad skin rashes when pregnant (happens to some women, apparently my body thought I was allergic to my kids...) so my doc said a low dose of Bendadryl was fine. And Benadryl is an antiemetic, so I cleared up the skin rash and lessened the nausea a tad with one tiny pill.

Experiment with different foods, even weird ones. I found that eating some chicken noodle soup (Campbells, from a can) helped settle my stomach. All the oil made me want to throw up, so I'd open the can, dump out all the liquid, put more water back in, swish that around, dump that out, then dump the noodles and chicken bits into a bowl and add a little water.

Keep in mind...some foods are brutal to throw up if she gets to that point. Apples are very, very, very bad on the way back out.

Rice, however, is not. And it helps settle the stomach.

Basically, you have to experiment. Some women swore by ginger tea, that made me hurl worse. Try a few options with her, try an eating schedule, NEVER LET THE STOMACH GET EMPTY, and be patient if she's ultra cranky because feeling like you have the flu all the time sucks.

Oh, also, is it only in the morning with her? Because for many of us it's not just the morning!!!

I drink ginger beer regularly just because I love the taste of it. The stronger the ginger, the better.

You shared something personal?! I need ugg boots and starbucks right now because I can't even.

Also, when I was preggers, my friend told me about cutting up a ginger root and just like smelling it as I was doing the cutting, which helped me. And my mom always supplied me with insane amounts of ginger ale. Mostly I just learned to avoid the "triggers" of said nausea and I can understand how your crockpot meals would affect it. I had weird ones like the strainer in the kitchen sink would make me horribly sick if there was anything caught in there, so I made hubby clean it out before I needed to do something in there. Mostly, figure out what causes it and eliminate the triggers.
