Been watching the hubs play it while I work. It seems fun, lots of different weapons but damn if some of the people he's partied with are fucking retarded but that comes with f2p games.

 

My 26 year old is struggling hard with this. As a parent of an older child (full fledged adult!) it is so hard to watch my kid struggle because my options aren't the same as when the kids were minors!

The 20s can be really hard. I struggled myself. Learned to deal better in my 30s. I just spent half my morning typing up a document for my oldest that included charts and whatnot to help her deal with stress and the resultant anxiety. I can't fix it for her, but maybe I can give her some ideas (including charts) of options that she can consider that might reduce some of the anxiety?

My youngest struggles with it, too, but he keeps it internal. Only now and again does he share what he's going through and it always shocks me because...he just does NOT outwardly display this massive anxiety he carries around (I'm actually considering getting him back into therapy for it, he was in therapy for it when he was younger and that really helped him out a lot.)

I've played enough TF2 with 11 year olds to deal with this.

 

For me, CBT was a real turning point for my anxiety/depression/mania/etc. I still feel it...harder some days than others, but the ability to cope is there now. I did pysch/music in college and it was continuously frustrating that I could function so well for everyone but myself. I could reality check my own bs and know that I was having a reaction based on anxiety and I would still do exactly the opposite of what I knew I should! Adulting is so fucking hard
