Dogs and babies have some kind of evolutionary programming going on. My cousin's baby was the same way. She would grab on to Titan right by his neck and use him to hold herself up while she walked around. At first I was a little scared because dogs tend to freak out when kids just take a hold of them, but he didn't care at all. He would just walk along side her and if she sat down, would give her a big lick on the head and walk off.

The slobber is not fun, but I grew up with a Shar Pei when I was a kid, and that breed will prepare you for anything. I have little rags all through the house that I use for clean up. He likes being outside all the time anyways, so it isn't that bad. He's so dumb that I have to force him in when the weather is bad because he'll just stay out there. I've got more problems with hair than anything because of one of my rescues. When she starts to shed I have to empty the Roomba twice a day.
