So a small would probably be good? Little Artie weighs 10.5 - 11 pounds atm. He's on a diet now though cause he's actually pretty short and weighs as much as our normal height cats. Pretty sure he thinks the food won't be there when he comes back so he just eats all the time... we rescued him from the mean streets where he ate bugs most of the time. Lol.

Bearnie is in a small and it's a tiny bit big for him, cause he's the runtiest little thing in the world and is like 8 pounds soaking wet. I think small should work fine in that one because it has all the adjustable straps.

I ordered the wrong size for him the first time, and amazon was super chill about a return.

It's all about quality of life, man. Does the animal still experience joy regularly? Are they in frequent pain that compromises overall happiness? Would that animal choose death, if they had the choice? I'm only a stranger on the internet and I can tell that Bearnie is clearly not anywhere near ready to die. And he doesn't deserve to suffer from lack of meds. He still has adventures, and normal cat spaz-attacks, and experiences affection on the reg. I'd be making a big stink about that vet to anyone who would listen, because someone like that, in my opinion, doesn't have enough care for animals to be in that profession.

I mean, we have a house hen whom we raised from a day old (she'll be 3 years in May), and she has a condition which has caused her to lose the function of one of her legs. She has to hop around, and she sometimes experiences pain that is similar to arthritis. The vast majority of chicken-owners would have culled her two years ago when she started to have any issues at all. But we are willing to keep her indoors with us, and cater to her to make sure she is staying stimulated, comfortable, and happy on a daily basis, and monitor her quality of life. We are lucky enough to have the time and space to do so.

For as long as she doesn't appear to be suffering, and for as long as she still gets as much joy as she does from things like daddy-cuddles, treats, and just crawling under my computer chair (she's weird, but she effing LOVES to do this), she will continue to keep on keepin' on. This chick is tough as nails, and I've learned to stop doubting her ability to adapt, and maintain joy. I don't care what other people would do. She's a happy girl. She only looks gimpy.

We know our own pets better than any strangers, anyway.

Seriously. Eff that vet in the A.

I had to get a medium, but mainly because our cat has the super long, super gangly body type (when he runs, he runs like a gazelle). The chest portion on the small was too short for him.

If their last game was any indication, if it's Leafs-Lightning in the playoffs, each game will be 6-5 and Babcock and Cooper are both going to have veins pop in the foreheads.

Hey, if you keep it in good condition and pass it down, I'd say that $300 is quite a steal to create a family heirloom!
Seriously, just call it that, and you can justify any and all yarn purchases.

That save was pure instinct, I love it. Most goalies would bob around to get a view, but he stayed collected and went low, and then the rest was muscle memory and instinct. So beautiful.

"I’m not worried about the crowd. I’m worried about 20 guys on the bench.” Oh my god I love that man. I know Mac is exploding and I love him for that and he's amazing, but Landy is my boy.

    Oh, and @EssArrBee
Avalanche star center Nathan MacKinnon practiced Tuesday as if he was close to playing. Donning a red non-contact jersey, the team’s leading scorer was the first one on the ice in a pre-practice skate and was the last player to leave it after.

It was MacKinnon’s first team practice since suffering a shoulder injury Jan. 30 at Vancouver, which slated him to miss 2-4 weeks. Tuesday marked two weeks from Jan. 30, but entering Week 3 doesn’t mean he’ll return to the lineup this week.

“He’s coming along,” Avs coach Jared Bednar said.

Per team rules, MacKinnon wasn’t available to speak to the media because he didn’t participate in every facet of practice and he has not been cleared to play.

Bednar ruled MacKinnon out of Wednesday’s home game against the Montreal Canadiens. Asked if he could play later this week — Colorado visits Winnipeg on Friday and hosts Edmonton on Sunday — Bednar said: “I don’t know that.”

I'm really loving the visual of a cat running like a gazelle. That is amazing.

:bearnie: I swear, we live alternate versions of the same life with our respective Matt's.
