    Curly hair? Natural hair?

Everyone who doesn't have it loves it, everyone who has it doesn't love it.

Well, I'm generalizing, but that's close.

I finally love that's a little strong. .I finally don't hate my hair now that I co-wash and follow the Curly Girl Method. So. Much. Easier.

Mine isn't as curly right now because I'm letting it grow super long so the weight is pulling out some of the curl, though it's still very willing to turn into dreads as I sleep.

i love you ladies who own your curly fabulous hair. i have the flattest, straightest hair ever. i try to sleep with braids or in a bun just to give it some life in the morning. i used to curl it every single day, but lazy. it sucks and i hate it.

Mine was curly and frizzy but after going to a hairdresser for over 20 years and having it straightened, it grows out pretty smooth and straight now. It's like the hair dresser trained my hair. I love it!

I had really really straight hair until my early 20s. I do not know what changed, but it suddenly started to curl. It just keeps getting curlier the older I get. Which is good, actually, because the wiry gray hair is blending in, lol. When I was younger I would braid my hair for bed then curl up the ends in a curler.

Judging by my bangs, it would be pretty curly now if I cut it short (I straighten those). And if I am at the beach for more than two days it either turns into one huge frizz ball, or about 10 different dreads. If I'm in salt water it will dread up, no salt water and just the damp air...frizz. I've learned to not wash it while at a beach because...well...clean hair does not make for the best curly hair day.

I've generally always worn my hair long with a few forays into shoulder length, but I prefer long. So it's never as curly as it can be, but it's curly enough that when people see it wet they're stunned at how long it actually is.

I used to be jealous of all the girls with the straight hair that didn't turn to dreads if you look at it wrong.

Or, god forbid, sleep on a cotton pillowcase.

Satin or silk, all the way. And even then I wake up with half dread hair on some days. I always wonder wtf I do in my sleep on those nights.

dreads are awesome though. everyone thinks they can just touch and grab your hair, it's hella hard to get comfortable when you try to go to sleep, people assume you don't wash your hair ever, etc. etc.

Awe, man, my hair genetics were completely opposite to those of my mom and my grandma. (Dad was really blonde) I spent so much time in chairs at beauty shops with female relatives trying to 'correct' my thin strait hair (what genetics gave to me) because they themselves had something so different and aspired to such a different look (it was the eighties ,I'm old) so perms happened, years of styles that were so unbecoming. I Promise, I didn't even begin to feel remotely comfortable with myself until I was about 35 years old. It does get better.
