Hmm, interesting. Solar + a whole home generator are my "if I win the lottery" list of home upgrades but that makes the solar way way way more attractive

I wasn't even considering it then I found out about the push here last july to remove the credit system so I jumped on it, at first I wasn't breaking even with the energy but as of right now I am only paying my solar loan and $10 for being connected to the grid.

Yes, I intentionally had my system built to overproduce. It just made sense for here in AZ, everything I researched showed that I would take a while to break even but according to all my math I would save ridiculous amounts by the 10 year mark, and I intend on keeping this house even if we decide to move to another one as a rental or something so I went with it.

NOW I wouldn't probably, as to actually not pay I'd need a battery and they are still pricey and I'd have to put it somewhere lol
