I'll reluctantly give you scruggs, just for pioneering the 3 finger style. But bela fleck is on a whole 'nother wavelength - not only in the talks of best banjo player - but best musician of any type.

I do realize this is all subjective though, but just voicing an opinion.

I'm from where Earl Scruggs is from so I think I'm obligated to be on team Scruggs. Bela Fleck is a much cooler name though.

 

Absolutely. I may just not have a lot of taste for Fleck. I'm also currently on an old timey type music kick, so currently my opinion is swayed towards more of the old guys.

I'd listen to it once. I mean it can't be worse than some of the shit audiokite has played for me. I actually used the phrase "lead singer would be better served taking a vow of silence and living his life as a monk than continuing in this career path."

I played Uke and Mando on two different bluegrass EPs. I'm starting to pick the uke back up. I can't quite wrap my head around the 5 string banjo. I had one for years, but I sold it for rent and beer money.

 

OH and I just started messing around with spoons.

 

Watch out. You mess with the spoons, you can get knifed.

 

I have decided that Bryce Dallas Howard and Christina Hendricks are my girlfriends.

 

I started on the guitar, but consider the banjo to be my instrument now. But I basically buy way too many stringed instruments and learn the basics. I can do my mando chop chop chops, and I have a disney princess uke from goodwill that I learned all the basic chords on.

I have a youtube channel where a bunch of my friends play old folk songs, but I"m 100% most definitely not going to post it

 

Gotta admit, I never had you figured for a banjo guy at all.
