@ChrisTurk omg this is a couple days late of a reply at this point because I just pop in and out of here but you forgot to mention the most IMPORTANT PART OF HCOMP, did you get any mTurk swag while you were there???

 

Well it was a "gambling" game, I knew what I was getting into. I hate gambling lol. Occasionally I'll do a gambling task like that, just to remind myself why I avoid them generally.

No big loss, I did get some money from the task (from the NON-gambling parts), just not the big bonus. I can live with that.

I will survive.

Also, if there is a wind warning, don't try and pull your friggen trailer or whatever up the pass! Matt couldn't get home from work once because someone ignored it and flipped their rv sideways and they closed the road

We have that happen here, too, because there's always some ding dong that thinks they can haul their janky ass trailer in hurricane force gusts and inevitably flips it. They love to re-reoute traffic thru the desert when things get dicey...but they have these great LIGHT UP SIGNS that tell you specifically which road to take if you're hauling anything, cause the wind pass will flip you, but noooo! People think they are smarter than the sign! Don't even get me started on the yuppie fucks who decide to abandon the road and take the fire road across the desert and then inevitably get stuck like assholes.
