The birds were pretty. I saw a lot of water fowl we don't have here in Kentucky.

And working at the refinery wasn't terrible.

    I love mergansers!
And have been watching for the Canadian Geese to come back. It's our sign that spring will be happening.
(Also if I see a cardinal I about lose it. We get them before the crocuses.)

Any rumors/info about whether the hard work many of us 'have/are going to' put into it will lead to St. Pat's badges? :arms:

The canada geese are around me year round. They're dicks.

For me, when the swallows/swifts show up and do their swoops over the water is when I know spring has arrived. I love those guys.

"Fertilizer truck"! Geesh, that's a lot of typing! With all the hyper-efficiency younger people seem to demand these days,
maybe that should just be contracted to..... Oh... Never mind! :)

Yeah in Metro Detroit the Canadian Geese did a lot of "crapping" damage to cemeteries particularly because people would go and feed them bread around man-made ponds.
But there was still something about seeing the V's of them flying out in the fall and back in the spring.
I was surprised we didn't see more when we moved here to Maine. We're not a major fly-over area like the midwest. So now we're back to liking them again as a sign of spring and fall :)
