They're not so bad! I got them recently and was feeling pretty good about going shopping today
and being able to both see into the distance and able to look closely at tiny fine-print labels.
Also I learned that trees have actual leaves at the top. I'd always assumed it was embryonic green fuzz!
FWIW, if you're like me (Sorry! No offense meant!) you might want to consider a separate pair of
'computer' glasses. The 'close-up' part of my bifocals is meant for much closer than my laptop screen.
It's certainly worth having a pair of custom glasses for this specialized activity, to avoid any strain!

this was the biggest surprise to me when i got glasses, along with streetlights and headlights not being giant blobs of light, and finally seeing what the big deal was about HD tv/bluray. i also got considerably better at videogames

but especially the leaf thing. i kept asking people "like... that's just... what... it looks like? all the time?? you can see that?? that's normal?"
