03/04 - Watery Wednesday!

What about pet rats? I had two, Rocky and Rambo, and they were super sweet and adorable.

 

I did tell you the story of the one night I got up to let the dog out at 2 am and there was an opossum out there, and all three animals trapped it in some roll of protective barrier I had set out there to use for the gardens and then at 2 am I had to get three ape shit crazy animals to stop going after the hissing opossum and once I got their crazy asses into the house I had to free the terrified opossum from the roll of barrier?

I pretty much didn't go back to sleep after all of that nocturnal activity.

 

Rats are some of the most underrated pets out there IMHO.

My old roommate had a rat. I had no idea they were so cuddly. The rat would follow him around and climb up his leg when he'd sit on the couch and stuff.

The roommate was a prick though. Major bi-polar episodes that were very unpleasant to deal with. He sucks

 

I love pet rodents. I had rats, mice and hamsters throughout my life. For my 18th birthday my high school boyfriend (the one with the ferrets) bought me a hamster and cages and tubes and stuff, lol.

I miss having rodents.

ive had rats and ferrets, tbh, the rats were super chill and like @dan said, super cuddly and just wanted to be on you 24/7. ferrets omg....think of like an oversized rat that you gave a cup of coffee to.....laced with cocaine....after you gave it a hit of speed...and then you still wouldnt get the hyperness of a ferret. but they are also super cuddly and the bobbing run they have is hilarious. but id rather have rats over ferrets, the upkeep seems way less since the rats i had were fairly clean and tidy to themselves.
