    CT, any links or info on the rasberry PI you care to share? For whatever reason I hadn't thought to get one of those, but it makes my geek itch hearing you talk about it. I run Kodi would want a remote to control it and the TV inputs.

    I bought 2 RPi 2's in 2015 and they're still what I use so my info is probably not very helpful lol.. I think the RPI3 is a lot more powerful but you'd have to check. Install openelec & it's prebuilt for running Kodi

    Any wireless usb controller works but they also have android apps that are pretty good & will coordinate w/ a NAS if you have one as well
