Our school system sent out a big, chill out everyone it's going to be cool email earlier so I've just been waiting for the news.

 

Agreed it is deeply disturbing. I'm currently in the process of trying to unsee it. I need to be distracted. Quick, @Soldan post a picture of you in your barista kilt!

I bet they sent out those types of emails back during the bubonic plague years and look what happened. You can't trust them.

 

All they will say is that they are in isolation at a hospital in my city.

 

Are you talking about the central pa people? The ones that were on the cruise ship?

 

We haven't got anything yet...but I'm not surprised. Our school sucks. Last year I got yelled at for sending my kid to school when he didn't feel well, and today I got an email saying I shouldn't be keeping him from school so much. They don't know their butts from a hole in the ground around these parts.

one is from Delaware county forget where the other one was from. Hubby works for the state they got an email from the Department of Health today about it

 

I think you are probably safe Tracy. The virus has GOT to be afraid of your attic snakes. Actually can we all come stay at your place?

 

Oh great! I'm in York Co. The Mass panic down here is overkill.

 

Anytime...I can feed us all for probably 3 months or so. Bring some provisions and we'll be good for even longer.

 

I mean, better safe than sorry since, you know, something CDC funding something pandemic response team something incompetence something something we aren't allowed to talk about politics.

 

I'm gonna just keep doing me. Hubby and I work from home. I order my groceries and at most have contact with the person who hands me my receipt through the car window only go around large groups of people when I go to church and as of last week we aren't shaking hands or drinking wine during mass so...

 

I mean, even if you're getting them delivered, someone else has likely handled your groceries.

 

Just heard that the SXSW music festival was cancelled next week. I was a booking agent for a long time and I can't even imagine absorbing the cost of all the prep that goes into getting a bunch of bands, instruments shipped, plane tix, venues booked, sound guys, hotels, cars, etc all cancelled at the last minute. It's such an enormous event. Austin must be reeling? Anybody on this forum from the Austin area?
