    I bought a ten dollar knock off remote that I can control the tv and shield with. The actual shield remote only controlled volume aside from the shield. I often used the game controller to control everything, ironically, we hardly ever game on it. We just found the streaming to be far superior for our needs and we hooked up a 2tb external HD using PLEX and Kodi. Our movie and music library is in need of a better filing system at this point though.

    Do you have it hooked up to any smart home things?

    Seems it has google assistant built in, wondering how good that is. I assume you have to press a button on the remote before you can ask it questions? I don't suppose I could just say "ok google turn on my dining room lights" from across the room. I probably have to press a button on the remote first right?
