That makes me laugh (and why I don't do them anymore). He got really angry I transposed a digit (165 -> 156) and took my qual but then later he gave it back. I felt like it was an abusive relationship where he kept lowering the pay more and more too.

Going forward all Computer Vision Turk hits will require qualifications. If you are
receiving this message then you will be granted qualification soon.

Some things to keep in mind:
1. Your performance across HIT types is tracked. In general, if you have been granted
qualification you were doing great in one or more HITs.
2. We will review qualifications periodically and revoke them in cases we find
work not matching our expectations.
3. This qualification system reduces the overall workforce by a factor more than 10!
This means less competition for you.
4. Soft-bans will last longer as you might have noticed. So please be extra careful.
Time between new batches can vary from 1 week to 1 month.
5. There will be a lot of HITs in the coming months (like previous months). So
please don't try to game the system. The system is setup to reward great workers like
you the exclusive opportunity of more work.

Finally, thanks a lot for continuing to work on the HITs and providing feedback to
improve. Really appreciate all the hard work you put into the HITs.

A week or so ago, we ran a qual hit regarding vote preferences in the 2016 primary and general elections here in the US.

We've got some swarm sessions planned with partners of ours for lots of political voting histories.

BUT...we also landed with an opportunity to do something at SxSW this weekened on Saturday, and so we're going to dual-purpose that qual for a Saturday HIT.

Earlier today we assigned 206 people with a 2020D qual.
On Saturday, from noon to 1pm EST (11am to noon CST) we're going to be running a hit for folks who share a somewhat in-common voting history more or less, and a likelihood to vote along those same lines in the 2020 primaries.

It should be a lively and fun swarm session. It will run an hour. We will be paying $9.00 up front for the HIT. Should I hear from our peeps on the ground in Austin that we need to extend out a bit past the hour, we'll bonus everyone pro-rated additional pay at the rate of $1.50 per 10 minutes to stick around.

Because we love our community here, I will say that I plan to launch the HIT on Saturday at 10:55 am, like literally right on that dot, for a swarm that starts 65 minutes later. We can't afford to put 206 hits in place, obviously, so be on the lookout on Saturday if you've got that 2020D qual. We hope to see you then!

 

VRAPI has been shit since October. Though i might start doing them again now that san diego is gone. im real surprised they havent dropped the pay to a buck a hit at this point
