Lol I actually ended up buying a replacement for it.. because it is just sooo much better than other ones that I have used. Kuhn Rikon Auto Safety Lid Lifter, Black.

I say this as someone who has a made in America EZ-DUZ-IT can opener. (although that is likely the best standard style can opener that I open)
