I'm failing to see your point when a normal keyboard and mouse is that same setup.

 

Defeats the whole point of a laptop. Using a keyboard and a mouse while lying down in bed or on the couch sounds terrible. Also defeats the whole purpose of being portable. And using a mouse and a keyboard with a laptop means I have to find a table topper some stupid shit

 

Aren't most of the touchpads multitouch capable now? Like you touch with 2 finger tips for right click, 3 fingers for something else you can custom set, 4 fingers for something else, etc?

 

Yeah and it makes a really crappy user experience. Can't beat physical buttons
