Ah yeah the delay would be the main issue. Honestly I have had good experiences personally with USPS but that varies by area.

Still think a pet skunk would be cool even though they probably cost even more than ferrets given that you need a special license for them, I think.

 

I did too until I found out they are really stinky and I don't want to get their scent gland removed just so I could enjoy them, kinda like the pet skunk idea.

There's otters that hangout where I kayak. They don't let me get close though. But they're awesome.

The beavers are really chill though. I can get like 3 feet away from them before they start tail splashing me.

 

The little sounds they make absolutely rend my soul in two. Must have. If I could have like 5 that would be greattttt

 

Apparently you get used to the ferret musk after a while. Skunks are in the same family as ferrets and are even more likely to get their scent glands removed, because, yeah, skunks, though you can train them to not spray everything once they get used to you.
