i love to try new stuff, the bakers loved me there cause they would make test batches of stuff and give them to me to taste test before making full on batches.

Peanut butter is overrated.

I don't remember if you're an 'olive person'. A few slices of green olive with pimento in that cream cheese is great!

 

We want it to be perfect! And it's so easy to get caught up in what we like...we want to get unbiased opinions.

 

Nope...not an olive person LOL. I'm not a vegetable person at all and even though olives are considered fruit...I lump them in with the veggie category.

 

Story Time with Uncle Soldan!

Back in 1994, the soccer team I played for hosted a squad from Scotland for a one day soccerfest thing. The parents put out a huge spread for our visitors, and had peanut butter for us. The adults with the Scottish squad stole all the peanut butter sammies that were for us because they couldn't get it where they lived very often and it was a huge delicacy to them.

The worst part was we got in trouble for eating off hte good spread before the Scots told our parents what was up.

 

it's a bit more complicated than throwing peanut butter on it, but oxtail is a great pairing

lol i dunno bout that. some flavors it felt like they threw things into the mixer to see what color the dough would turn (spinach, feta,tomato bagels)

Don't get me wrong, it's not that peanut butter is bad. Just... cheese exists. Why would I choose peanut butter when cheese is almost always better? Maybe always. Cheese may always be better

 

Ah I see what you're saying. Some of the concoctions bakers come up with are weird. I get it. We have a barbeque festival every year. I used to make bbq cupcakes and they sold out EVERY TIME. I thought they were not so great, but people ate the heck out of them.
