I'm not being condescending at all. I actually figured out the multi-tab secret the first day they switched the way they did it, and I enjoyed a couple of months of feasting on them before the secret really got out...so it's not like I wasn't doing the same thing. But obviously they are getting bad data if they are trying to close this loophole.

Also, despite my best efforts, I happen to get the odd lockout too. Personally, I also found that opening about 12-14 of them worked well for me, and once I completed one, I would accept another in that tab to get a new timer. Being able to accept new ones is what told me I wasn't screwing up.

If trying to squeeze 25 in with a 20 minute timer doesn't yield more mistakes, I'd love to know why that magic number seems to have popped up way more often than 26, 27, 28, etc. If I could do 25 in 20 minutes so quickly and accurately, then theoretically, I could accept a new one every 48 seconds.

lmao why else would they do it if they were getting good data? google requesters have been doing this for how long now? and nobody's raised a stink because of it.

i'm pretty sure i didn't single you out at all, so your defensive attitude is pretty interesting. your answers can be 100% stellar for all i care, my point is is they were getting bad data with workers using that technique. not because Fio used that technique.

The issue is you are making assumptions without any data to back it up. They could have done this to expand the pool of users completing their hits but we don't know. You're just assuming it's because of bad data and blaming those that multitab. We will likely never know the reason for the changes.

Obviously the lizard men have taken over Pinterest in a corporate buy-out, and their first move is to sow dissent in the mTurkers by making an incredibly ambiguous change in an otherwise time-tested system, to begin their master plan.
