Soooo.... at one point I could swear that someone in here mentioned that they, at one point, either worked for insurance/medicare/medicaid or was very, very familiar with the entire clusterfuck of insurance.

Whoever that was... I am in desperate need of picking your brain. Had a terrible "mom's health" day and I need to understand some insurance crap.

I've worked as an office manager for a chiro office (dealing with insurance every day) for years, and I've been a caregiver for multiple people and helped with their legal junk. I don't think I can be much help though, medicare/medicaid went super fucky with Obamacare, so our office has even been all turned around.

 

I kind of hope you're stoned to be eating eggs on your pizza. If not that sounds terrible.

 

I'm not stoned and I don't smoke... but I actually think it tastes pretty good.

It isn't anywhere close to as bad as what @ChrisTurk eats though

Yeah.. flake is right. I deal with ins (esp medicare and medicaid as our patient load is mostly those two) but I'm lost when it comes to medicare advantage/ppo/etc... and what is better for this and that and all that jazz.... the rep is lost too... the internet tells me that she has insurance cancer.

I'd like not to come out of pocket $10,000 but it's looking like its that or bust because I can't get this insurance shit figured out and mumzie needs an insulin pump and normal sized feet goddamnit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ugh, yeah, i'm totally lost on all that too. as if it wasn't complicated enough before, it's 100x worse now, especially when it's a dire/immediate situation. i don't think i can be much help, but if you need to talk/rant/Grinch i'm totally here for that. hopefully someone else knows more than i do.
