I'm a strict parent but now I feel a little better about my strictness.

I don't hit or even threaten to. I can come up with way better punishments than a spanking!

(Plus, I'm not strict about some things like kiddo gets to play video games way more than other kids he knows do/did. I'm nice about that.)

 

It's mostly just an excuse to bully the one living person who depends on you for everything be cause it's the only way they'll have power over someone. It's better now, though. If I ever have kids, I've pretty much made up my mind that I'm never going to be like my parents or grandparents or aunts.
