If you're anything like me and my friends you'll discover you are NOTHING like what you thought you'd be as a parent once you're in the trenches.

I surprised the hell out of myself. Not always in a good way, lol.

 

She is a very smart woman. lol.

 

When I got grounded, internet wasn't a thing in our house. I couldn't go for walks, I couldn't watch tv, I couldn't read books, or talk on the phone. I couldn't do anything. She did let me go to martial arts though. That was the one thing that would have really bothered me.

 

when i was at northrup, a guy lived in seattle and had an rv he lived in for 10 days at a time when he was working here. he'd just keep flying back and forth

 

Unsure. I'm sucked into Apple/joined the cult so I only ever see Apple stuff when I seek tech.

I got to go to Karate because my Dad was in the same class and liked me to help him because I had been taking it about 3 years ahead of him

 

well.. I tried to do a "wow" rating on a post and it said I didn't have permission. I'm too lazy to refresh the thread because liveload is still working for now. But I see thread police.

 

This would have killed me as a kid. Books were my nuclear option.

Our child gets EVERYTHING she wants out of daddy. All she has to do is "but daddy!" and give him a sad face and bam, she gets what she wants. I'm left to discipline of course. "stronger" sex MY ASS. Bring a little girl into the equation (a son also I just don't have experience with that.

I think she felt it was only right that I went. I was REALLY good and my sensei actually paid for my gi, patches and all my tournaments. My aunt made me pay for my classes out of my $20 monthly allowance, so he cut the class price in half for me so I could afford to go. She felt it was only proper to make sure I was at the class. My aunt and uncle were the richest people in town, and my sensei paid for most of my stuff.
