We dont have a facebook because there is nothing I'd put on it that isn't already on our web page, in our craigslist ads, or on zillow when we post there.

i can imagine dealing with people in any sort of text-based medium would be a disaster and a half anyway, so i don't blame you. email should be plenty - anyone who can text, can email, and can access it on the same device in the same way, just as quickly.

 

That sounds reasonable, but I could introduce you to my parents.

 

Buttermilk is great in coconut cake if you like that! There are also some cookies you can make with it, pound cakes, chocolate cakes, the list is endless. If you have a favorite kind of cake, let me know what kind and I can give you a good recipe for it with buttermilk.

 

Or, look at the ad they just clicked my phone number on, lol. They got my number from SOMEWHERE. And that should still be on their phone!

We can text once someone is a tenant and in our system, but not just the general public (and that ability is relatively new, the software just added it about a year ago).

Honestly, I don't want to be more reachable. I want weekends and evenings off. I don't want tenants or the public to have a way to "reach" me after hours. We once had a way for tenants to do that and it was a freaking nightmare with repeated calls at 2 am for dripping faucets, or drunk tenants not realizing how inappropriate it is to call that late, etc.

When I tell people they called a landline so I can't text them from it they always laugh and say, "yeah, duh. I forget businesses don't all use cellphones!"

 

Cinnamon rolls? (like you asked me) The overnight ones. OR cornbread.

 

I don't have a cell phone. I use a landline here at home. But then again, I live under a rock so...

I'd love to give up my cellphone some days. I don't have a landline any longer, but am tempted to get one and turn off my phone on the weekends, lol.

Like I said before, when I had the bakery it was almost always stuck to my ear. I got so tired of it. So I was glad to be rid of it when we closed the bakery. Most of the time, I let our cordless landline go dead by "accident".

Pfft. Any day is good for any kind of cake. I'll send you my coconut cake recipe that I use. The batter is really really thick so it doesn't pour like regular cake batter, but it is soooo good. Makes the yummiest, most flavorful coconut cake ever! Shhh...it's a secret, but I plan on bribing someone for her address come June and sending her some carrot cake.
