Bah. A Transcribe This rejection. This one had so many difficult sections. But I trudged through them and was reasonably confident I had captured everything correctly, at least to the extent the audio quality allowed. I know, I know, it's what they do. But if this sticks, will be my first TT rejection. (I had one other that I appealed that was quickly overturned. Maybe this one will be too. Or at least I'm hopeful they can better explain what I missed.)

 

they should have paid you. if their hits are that difficult, they need to put some of them with a qual.

They have a pretty consistent track record of these kinds of rejections though so I always know this is a possibility. And it's also why I'm quick to throw them back if the speaker is difficult to understand.

(But given my recent rejection from Rev, maybe I'm just not a very good transcriptionist anymore. )

 

you might want to avoid requesters in general who are known to reject. if your mturk account is pretty new and you don't have a lot of approved hits yet.

99.8%+ w/ 7k HITs, so I can weather a few more and stay above 99%. But agreed with your logic. It's definitely something I keep an eye on. Those still-open A9 HITs from 4/12 have me a little nervous though.
