    Nope. I wish.

    I made very slightly more this year, bumped myself into a new tax bracket, and it royally fucked me. On top of this, had markedly less deductions than last year. Yay. I had a full home office last year, and now I'm working in the corner of my living room...this fucked me over too.

    I also had to file 3 state returns and I honestly wanted to just slam my face into the desk for awhile. I somehow got fucked worse by SC than CA tax wise, and I'm unclear about that one. Uncle Sam can bite me though, I was barely into the bracket and now I'm paying 2x as much in taxes as last year. I literally would have been better off making a couple grand less in the long run.

    I'd like a couple thousand bucks but sounds like you're the wrong preson to ask, so I'll take the hug ;)

    MY wife worked a temp job for Columbia University last year as a W2 worker and our witholding got screwed. Totally our fault, but jebus.

    On the plus side we donated a metric shit ton of baby stuff to our church rummage sale and between that and my wife's home office we managed to cross the threshold for itemization. So it could be worse ;)

    Oh, and kid number 2 was born 3 days late. Damnnit.

    When you get questions like "I have 6 fingers on each hand" I think "Slightly disagree" is an acceptable answer. I almost have 6 fingers on each hand, so I only slightly disagree. Also, there are people who do in fact have 6 fingers on each hand, and they probably have so many darn rejections. Same with the people who traveled over the atlantic ocean in a hot air balloon.
