The daily thread gets the most traffic, so you'll probably get the most / quickest answers here, though it may get lost in the shuffle during peak hours.

That's pretty subjective. Some requesters use >1000, >5000, or >10000 HIT qualifications, but if you use the scripts and tools that are available to you, there are great things that pop at pretty much any level. One of the most important things is to keep your approval rating up, so try to avoid requesters that are known to reject while you're still new. Check out TurkerView (in the header bar) for requester reports.

Everyone makes mistakes, but try not to make a habit out of it.
