I got the Samsung a51 when it came out last year. I paid $400 for it, but I wanted the unlocked version so I could carrier hop for the best deals on service. It came with a free pair of the galaxy buds ($100) so I guess the phone was really $300. It works great for everything I need. It was the top of my price range, but I didn't want to have to worry about a new phone for a few years. Screw paying like $1k for a phone every year.

yeah i was an S series person from S4-4active-5-5active-7-8 but then i was like eh, and went back to my 7 for years. i got given a Note 9 a bit over a year ago from a close friend who i did a lot of pc work for and such (childhood friend) mainly because she wanted my help to get her to upgrade her lines and such and this had a hairline crack in it (why people dont use screen protectors OR cases is beyond me). i just now got a Note 10 for a steal of a deal (it has ONE dead pixel) from RAC when we were trying to find me a futon for my office bedroom and im still waffling between 9-10 and if i just wanna sell the 10 and keep using my 9 cause it has an SD slot. new tech is nice and all but sometimes you just want something that works and you dont need all the damned bells and whistles
