I had a situation like that happen to me when I was a teenager - Messed up my shoulder real good at football practice one day, and neither my mom nor my coach thought anything of it (I wasn't making a huge deal out of it either, just complaining of general pain/soreness). A week later, my mom saw me when I was changing my shirt and noticed my shoulder was hanging down a good inch or more lower than my other one.

Obviously we went straight to the ER at that point. Turns out I'd been walking around for a week and playing football with a separated shoulder and a cracked acromion (sp?) process.

I've come to learn that if my son complains, or mentions, take him seriously. He's not always right, but for the most part...he is. He accurately predicted when he had strep throat. Even the nurse who did the swab didn't think he had it but, yep, came back positive for strep.

And he has about an 80% success rate at predicting when he has a fever.

4 days isn't really that long honestly. I've had many hits take much longer than that to approve.
