Being called out by random kids in walmart is the only reason I even shower. That kind of power shouldn't be suppressed, the world would be a better place if children roamed free pointing out all your character defects like the insightful little assholes they are

 

My oldest kids and I have this conversation ALL THE TIME. They are impatient with us older folks catching up with the level of gender fluidity that is open today, and while I'm totally fine with it, I often use the wrong pronouns or references. I keep telling them that they will MAKE people not fine with it if they're constantly harping on innocent vocabulary mistakes with no ill intent behind them.

Give people a chance to learn. Many of us are ok with learning, we just need to know what we need to learn.

Pretty much before the age of five they ALL do this. At least, in my experience lol. Brutal honesty, thy name is child.
