Yeah, I realize they are supposed to be similar. I understand the task and I have done plenty of them for you guys, but I'm just saying from a worker perspective I end up too afraid to report the images as "too similar" as often as I'd like to. A lot of times I end up having to think for too long on similar images on what I can say that won't be a "this exists only in one image" scenario. It ultimately leaves me at a point where the hourly isn't worth it for me. Obviously YMMV if you find a way to do it relatively quickly, but I've tried to come back to them a few times and I never really got them to a point where it was consistently worth it.

Yea I agree I'm spamming everyone lately since I was told to speed up our data collection process while guaranteeing quality. You can actually reply 'leave' to our email so we can remove you from our mailing list. But I probably forgot to put that line in some of our recent emails. I just will stop messaging people who haven't done work for us lately then.

By the way I do appreciate that you post work for us to do. I'm just giving feedback because I feel that is valuable in some way. I don't expect it to be something you can really fix for me lol. I don't want you to feel joining the forum was a negative experience

 

I have a habitica sitting in my todos to script that hit actually, I just haven't gotten around to it and I think I never saved a frame XD

so @Stephanie Zhou I think it would be helpful on this hit to have a button to select all, allowing us to deselect. I am pretty familiar with your rules so I don't need to go page by page and just hit all the images that are wrong at this stage, and while not in this frame I saved, but in other versions of the hit selecting all and deselecting would make it go much faster, and I would be more willing to do so many images at .18 a pop.


I personally was going to eventually end up scripting this for myself, I just have not gotten around to it. If you did this, I imagine it would make the hits better for many users.

Oh I see. We're didn't add that button so that workers aren't psychologically inclined to flag all the sets first. We have limited images to start with and we don't want all the images to get reported but I will discuss this idea with others. I've experiment with asking people to flag non-interesing images vs flag interesting images and the result we got is quite different. Thanks for the suggestion.

I think this is only really necessary during the first wave selecting!

I do like your hits though, I don't find them difficult at all so hopefully you'll be able to get more people on board with figuring them out easier.
