I'm right in the center of the path of totality and we will have totality for close to 4 minutes. Supposedly hundreds of thousands of people are traveling to our area for it. Unfortunately it is pretty cloudy today though.

Yes I work in Northern KY but a very small town. Nobody would choose to drive here so I am just hoping my travel back home on I-71 isn't too bad. Bet your area will be bottlenecked.

All kinds of events planned here today but I am just staying home and watching from the backyard with the kids (they closed all of the schools today for it). Between the risk of bad traffic and my social anxiety there is no way I am venturing out today lol.

Carrollton 99.6. Lagrange I think was 99.5, so your area probably like 99.4?

I almost took day off wondering about traffic... but it's a pretty day here to take the 35 miles of backroads if I need to. I just decided to not be in a hurry. Some of our schools closed, others releasing early (my district releasing at 1 because kids would have been on the buses during the eclipse.... and probably every one of them looking at sun with no glasses... so it was a safety thing). Enjoy the time with your family!

I moved from Hikes Point and am downtown now but yeah, the map looks like its super close. Planning to stay in and care for the dogs that adopted me when I moved here. I've read a bunch of stuff about how its going to possibly freak them out.

Apparently, Total Eclipse of the Heart is just about the right length to match up at the start of totality. If you still have the cassette, time to break it out :emoji_sweat_smile:

We packed up and drove across town last night to get a better spot in the zone at my father-in-law's house. Super cloudy here in San Antonio today, so sleeping in an uncomfortable recliner last night was probably not worth it. I had bad thoughts of highways shutting down, mass shootings/looting, and no access to emergency services. It looks like everyone went elsewhere. 1:30 CST Let's go! No misstakes on Monday!
