After I managed to flood the cookies with a bottom layer, I thought maybe it wasn't as hard to make fussy little letters and decorations as I thought. I can frost a cupcake like a flower with buttercream, but my attempt to make a tiny rose with royal icing looked like my cookie was in pain.

I'm determined now! But, I suspect I'll go fully insane along the way. On the upside, the sugar cookies were delightfully soft in the middle and the frosting was tasty, so I can eat my abominations and live to try another day. I'd rather laminate dough or culture yeast any day of the week compared to that heinous nightmare! WHY IS THAT SO HARD?!
